Jason Derulo Singing His Own Name [Extended Cut]

I have been making fun of this for years. So glad to see someone took the time to exploit this!

Check out the first single, “Marathon Runner”, from Yellow Ostrich’s sophomore effort, Strange Land. Fans of The Mistress will note that the track starts with Alex Schaaf’s signature looping vowels, but soon grows into a much more driving sound. In it, Schaaf sings about growing into ones goals with no clear intent. With an actual band to back him, Schaaf seems to be reaching for a larger sound that allows him to break ties with the perhaps over usage of looping on the debut album. Strange Land is scheduled to release on March 6.

What do you think of the track and new sound?
